This week, I will be out of the classrom Monday-Wednesday for a literacy conference in Arkansas. Hoping to learn more new great things to use when instructing your children :
This week in English:
Students will continue to brainstorm ideas in their writing notebooks for narrative writing
We will spend time learning about and using the four elements of fiction
We will read a selection out of our textbook "Dirk the Protector"
Students will create a 4square to identify the 4 elements in the text
Students will transfer that knowledge and create a 4 square for the elements with their own book
Students will blog on bookspot about characters and how they are changing
Due this week:
Two notebook pages
bookspot blog
Two 4 square diagrams
In Reading this week:
We will begin the strategy of asking questions
