This week in English:
This is a testing week for us. Monday-Wednesday, we will be in the lab working on performance tests in Language and Reading. I am looking forward to seeing improved scores from the beginning of the year! : )
The last two days of this week, we will spend our class time looking at poems and analyzing them for figurative language.

Reading:
We will be working on The Outsiders
Describing the characters using the three types of characteristics we have discussed in English
Read Independent books and reflect on our reading using good reader strategies
Don't forget! Book Talk book needs to be finished by Jan. 18th.
