How Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

We have been working on our Beginning of the Year Writing Assessment.  It is an argument piece about panhandling. 

We chose book talk books this week.  Book talk books must be read by Sept.28th.  (We will be reflecting on them in class and on the blog.)  I do not require them to do projects on the book.

By next Monday, I would like for all students to register on the bookspot blog.  The address is at the left side of this webpage.

Students will bring grade checks home Friday.  Please sign and return them as soon as possible.  We have only had 5 grades so far, so it is sink or swim at this point.  If you have concerns, please let me know.

Reading

We are continuing on with The Outsiders. 
This week we talked about predictions, took notes about predictions, and made several with our books.
Friday, we will take an assessment over making predictions.
